The words in the film: Inconveniences. Time wasters. I've worked at and managed so many businesses that struggle to fix them. Don't know how. Too expensive. Not worth fixing. I've learned along the way that those are what kill businesses down the road. I started Yester & Morrow to solve problems. The Tech Lab is a consulting arm to get out and help others solve problems. Lots happening at once, but always order, flow and sequence. Fixed prices, and every fix has to pay for itself. For businesses, farms, groups and families. Keep what works. Fix what doesn't. For businesses, farms, groups and families

Keep what works. Fix what doesn't.

I build systems that handle the routine: calls answered, follow-ups sent, paperwork filed, records kept and everyone on the same page. One fix or the whole operation, built around the apps you already use.

  • You talk to the person who builds it
  • Fixed prices, and every fix has to pay for itself
  • Tested in the lab before it touches your work

Free, 20 minutes. I'll get back to you the same business day.

Sound familiar?

Every day the same small jobs slip, wherever the work happens. Pick yours.

Email, then three more tabs

Today

The day starts in your inbox, then the schedule, the customer list and the books, each in its own tab. Every email that goes out means updating them by hand. Two get done. The third one doesn't.

Handled

The email goes out and all three update on their own. Nothing waits on you to remember the third.

25 hours a week spent typing data in by hand and matching it up across apps, at businesses with 10 to 99 people. Intuit QuickBooks survey, 2024

The same question, twenty times a day

Today

Do you do decks? What are your hours? Can you come Thursday? Every answer stops the work in front of you.

Handled

An assistant answers from your own prices, hours and handbook, day or night. Anything it isn't sure of comes to you.

Nearly 7 times as likely to get a real conversation with the decision maker when a business gets back to a new inquiry within the hour, rather than an hour later. Harvard Business Review, 2011

The call you couldn't take

Today

You're on a roof when the phone rings. By the time you call back, they've hired someone else.

Handled

They get a text within a minute, and the lead lands on your list with who called and what they need.

21% of callers who don't get an answer call another business right away. Only 42% leave a voicemail. CallRail survey of 1,000 consumers, 2025

The estimate that went quiet

Today

You sent the estimate last Tuesday. Nobody followed up, so nobody heard back.

Handled

A check-in goes out on day 2 and day 7, in your words. When they say yes, the job goes on the schedule.

Done, but not paid

Today

The job is finished, but the invoice waits until you're back at the desk. Then it waits again in their inbox.

Handled

Mark it done on your phone and the invoice goes out with a link to pay. Reminders follow on their own, and the books update when it's paid.

Nearly 3 in 5 small businesses (59%) have invoices 30 or more days overdue, up from 47% a year earlier. QuickBooks late payments report, 2026

Receipts in the cup holder

Today

Receipts ride around in the truck until tax time. Then somebody types them all in.

Handled

Snap a photo at the counter. It's filed to the job and in the books before you're back in the truck.

1 in 27 entries typed in by hand didn't match the original, in a study of clinic test results copied into health records. Careful people still slip. Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, 2019

Want a rough number for your business? Three questions, nothing to sign up for.

Lots happening at once, but always order, flow and sequence.

Six things a good system does for you, whatever the job.

  1. Answers

Calls, texts and the same question for the twentieth time

  2. Remembers

Every name, date and conversation, in one record

  3. Follows up

On day 2 and day 7, on the bill, on the renewal

  4. Keeps everyone in step

The crew, the office or the family: who does what next

  5. Checks itself

On the Care plan, a test every day that it's working, and a fix when it isn't

  6. Asks you

Anything that matters waits for your yes

We run on it ourselves

Here's some of what runs our own farm and business every day.

The farm

Every move, written once

We log every move and every seeding once, out in the field, on a phone. The grazing history, the rest days and the page our buyers see all come from that one record, so when a grant program asks, the records are already in one place.

See the farm app

The lab's phone line

Calls I can't get to

When I can't pick up, the line takes the message and keeps a record of who called and what they need, so nothing waits on me remembering. It's part of the missed-call Quick Fix I sell, running on the lab's own number.

The back office

A crew that keeps to a schedule

My own work runs on AI workers I built. They keep to a schedule, check each other's work, remember what they learn and bring me only what needs me.

Swap the pasture for a job site, a church hall or a kitchen table. Same problem, same fix.

Three sizes, fixed prices

Quoted after a Walk-Through. Every build includes setup, training and 60 days of Care.

Payback test

Will it pay for itself?

Three questions give a rough monthly number from typical figures for your kind of business. Put in your own if you know them.

This one's for businesses and farms. For a group or a household, the free call or a class is the better place to start.

What kind of business?

AI, in plain English

Some fixes use AI. Think of it as a quick new hire who has read a lot but doesn't know your work yet.

Good at

  • Answering the same questions every day, from your own information
  • Drafting emails, quotes and follow-ups for you to approve
  • Reading receipts, invoices and forms, and typing the numbers in
  • Turning a voice note from the truck into a job ticket

Not good at

  • Knowing anything you haven't told it
  • Being right every single time
  • Judgment calls about your customers and your people

Learn it yourself

For owners, crews, groups and families who want to use AI well on their own.

  • Plain English AI

    $49 a person

A two-hour class: what AI is, what it's good for, and three things to try that night.

  • Team workshop

    $1,200 half day
    $2,000 full day

On-site for up to 12 people, built on your own work.

  • One-on-one

    $150 an hour
    4 sessions for $500

For anyone who wants a guide, at work or at home.

Questions people ask

Do I have to switch to new software?

No. Keep what works. Most fixes connect the apps you already use, so nothing gets typed twice.

What kinds of things can you build?

Most routines. If it happens every week and somebody has to remember it, it can probably be handled: answering, follow-ups, reminders, records, schedules and lists. If yours isn't a good fit, I'll tell you on the free call.

What if one of my apps can't connect?

Most can, one way or another: a built-in link, an email it sends, a file it saves. If one can't, I'll tell you on the free call, before you spend anything.

Is this just for businesses?

No. Farms, churches, schools, clubs and families too. Businesses and farms get the payback test; everyone gets plain English and a straight answer.

Do I need to understand AI to work with you?

No. You need to know your work. I'll handle the rest in plain English.

Why a lab? Are you going to experiment on my business?

No. Every build runs on sample information until every step works. Only then does it go onto your accounts.

Who owns what you build?

You do, once it's paid for: your accounts, your data, your system.

Where does my information go?

Into your own accounts wherever possible. You'll know where each piece lives before anything is built.

How far do you travel?

On-site within about 45 minutes of Lapeer. Farther out, we meet on video.

Who I am

I'm Chris Kamyszek. I've seen the problems on this page from inside big operations and from running my own businesses.

I spent more than ten years in the Air Force as a nuclear weapons specialist, flight engineer and special missions aviator. Since then I've run operations for a conveyor manufacturer, managed more than 20 install crews and 2,400 home projects a year across eastern Michigan, built a home improvement company from the ground up, and sold robotics and automation systems to some of the largest logistics companies in the country. Most recently I've built the quoting, estimating and follow-up systems for an industrial contractor. Alongside all of that, I ran my own photography and events business for 15 years.

I've put thousands of hours into AI over the last four-plus years, most of it digging into the fringe: figuring out how to get complicated systems working together by directing AI, and how to work through the problems that come up along the way.

I put it to work at home first. I run WildWoods Farm in Lapeer County with my family, and I built the Yester & Morrow farm app, the software our farm runs on every day.

The systems I've built run our farm's records, planning and finances, our household chores and our family calendar. They monitor our texts and emails for important dates and add them to the calendar, and keep up with the school and sports groups so the calendar updates on its own. Emails get summarized, with a reply ready to go out once I've looked it over.

What runs our farm and our home can do the same for your business, farm, group or family. That's what I build at the Tech Lab.
